Portfolio Builder Day PLUS
25th July 2016
Agency Models – Fashion – Editorial – Couples – Trash the Dress – Broncolor – Westcott – Graphi Studio
This unfinished Gothic style mansion lends itself as the perfect venue for our Bridal Fashion theme. This 19th century mansion has grand open spaces as well as some unusual and unique spaces to shoot in.
Think more editorial bridal fashion than wedding, this is the type of images we have in mind although with our couples you will have the opportunity to grab some wonderful bride and groom shots.
Our 6 models include super elegant agency models, and two modelling couples.
The day starts with a meet and greet over refreshments, meet the Portfolio Builder Day support team as groups are assigned and we run through the schedule of the day. We then have a full tour of the venue with international trainer, Andrew Appleton.
Andrew will give a short lighting demonstration with the Broncolor lights to help get those creative juices flowing and then you’re off with your group to scope out your shooting locations. Shoot 1 and 2 are next, followed by a buffet lunch and refreshments, and then we’re in to shoot 3 and 4. We wrap up the day with a Trash the Dress shoot!
This event is supported by GraphiStudio, they will be attending with a selection of their amazing albums for you to view.
Based in Gloucestershire we have exclusive use of this amazing building for the whole day.
Woodchester Mansion is a 19th Century Victorian Gothic Masterpiece mysteriously abandoned mid-construction in 1873. Hidden in a secluded Cotswold valley, it is untouched by time and the modern world. This Grade 1 Listed Building has been saved from dereliction, but will never be completed.
There is plenty of on site parking at the top of the venues drive way, and as the mansion is location approximately a mile from the car park we will be running a shuttle service to ensure both photographer and kit are transported to the event.
The event runs between 10.00am – 5.00pm on the 25th July. At Woodchester Mansion, Gloucestershire
The cost of the day is £299 per person. This Portfolio Builder Day PLUS event includes the location, 6 models, a professional stylist, lighting equipment, lunch and refreshments throughout the day and of course the PBD support team.
Numbers are limited to a maximum of 16 photographers. Please note this is a Portfolio Builder Day and not a workshop, although we do have a support team on hand.
There is an option for one group of 4 photographers to work with Andrew Appleton throughout the day receiving training on lighting, posing and composition. This is limited to 4 and is strictly first come fist served. When choosing this option the images you take may not be considered as wholly authored by you as they would be shot under workshop conditions.
These events offer a whole host of opportunities so bring along your kit bag and any lighting you wish to use.
As always we have have a variety of lighting from both Broncolor and Westcott and as this is a PBD+ Broncolor will be on site with some of the bigger kit to supplement our usual Siros gear. for you to use throughout the day at no extra charge.
